The Friends of the Hopkinton Town Library is a nonprofit group that is
dedicated to supporting and enriching the services and facilities of the Library
through its volunteer efforts. The Friends provide the framework and
coordination for much of the volunteer activities. Membership fees are minimal
and go directly to library programs and services. The group supports programming,
sponsors and organizes the annual book sale, and
more.
VOLUNTEER and be a FRIEND
Many Friends are also regular volunteers at the Library. Volunteers have
always had an important role in the growth and success of Hopkinton's
libraries--from the Hopkinton Village Library, to the Bates Library, and now to
the Hopkinton Town Library on Houston Drive. Thanks to the efforts of many
people in town, the Library facility is available to the public mornings,
afternoons and evenings, with a wide variety of offerings for all ages. The
Community Room has allowed the Library to greatly expand its program of events
and lectures, and provided the town with a valuable meeting space. With these
wider offerings, there is an even greater need for volunteers. And, as a Friend
of the Hopkinton Town Library—you can help!
